Why does the kerosene SDS change with the brand?
The kerosene sheets we read list different things. CITGO's Low Sulfur Kerosene (K-1), revised Mar 19, 2018, lists a Category 3 flammable liquid, skin irritation Category 2 and carcinogenicity by skin contact Category 2. Sunnyside's Kerosene Fuel, revised May 5, 2015, lists germ cell mutagenicity Category 1B and carcinogenicity Category 1B. The names are the same and the classes are not.
The sheets below carry dates from May 5, 2015 to Mar 19, 2018.

What should I read first on my sheet?
Match the grade on the container to the grade on the sheet. The two sheets we read disagree: CITGO's lists a Category 3 flammable liquid, and Sunnyside's lists germ cell mutagenicity and carcinogenicity classes. Read Section 2 for the flammable class and Section 9 for the flash point, because a Category 3 liquid brings the dispensing paragraph only below 100 °F. File the sheet under the brand you buy.
