Absolutely. OSHA 1910.1200(g)(8) explicitly allows electronic access to Safety Data Sheets, provided access is immediate and there is a backup for system failure — which is what offline caching and QR codes are for. On retention, note what 1910.1020(d)(1)(ii)(B) actually says: the SDS itself need NOT be kept for any set period, so long as you keep a record of the chemical’s identity, where it was used and when it was used for 30 years. That substitute record is the durable obligation, and it is far smaller than an archive of every SDS you ever held.

HazComFast covers all key elements of OSHA's HazCom standard (29 CFR 1910.1200): SDS management, container labeling, chemical inventory, employee training and documentation, and written hazard communication program requirements.

Employee exposure and medical records go 30 years under 1910.1020. Safety Data Sheets are treated differently, and this is the part most guidance gets wrong: 1910.1020(d)(1)(ii)(B) says an SDS need not be retained for any specified period, as long as some record of the identity of the substance, where it was used and when it was used is kept for at least 30 years. So the enduring duty is the chemical-use history, not the sheet. That release covers your ARCHIVE, not your shelf: footnote 1 to the same paragraph keeps data sheets required for chemicals currently in use, and 1910.1200(g)(8) requires them in the workplace, readily accessible during each work shift. You may retire the sheet for a chemical you no longer have — not for one your crew still opens.

You must update your written HazCom program when new chemicals are introduced, processes change, or hazard information changes. For substances, OSHA's GHS Revision 7 adoption requires employers, as necessary, to update any alternative workplace labeling, the written program, and training for newly identified hazards by November 20, 2026 (29 CFR 1910.1200(j)(2)(ii)). Review your program at least annually and whenever you add chemicals or change operations.

Signed webhooks cover five compliance events, and one export returns every record and document in a single archive. Prebuilt ERP, procurement or BI connectors aren't available yet; if you need a specific integration, contact us and we'll discuss what's possible.

You can export everything at any time — every record, every attachment, in one archive — and that export has never been tied to your subscription status. Records you are required to keep for years should not live in one vendor's hands alone, so we make taking a copy a one-click habit rather than an exit procedure.

We monitor uptime and performance to keep HazComFast reliable for field teams. If there's an incident, we'll notify affected customers by email. The jobsite's SDS, first-aid steps and field forms saved without signal stay on the phone when the connection drops.

Every product in HazComFast has an EMERGENCY button. One tap opens the first-aid steps for that product: eyes, skin, breathing, swallowing. Those steps stay on the phone, even in airplane mode.

Two things you can check yourself. HTTPS is enforced everywhere, with HSTS, and older TLS versions are refused at the handshake. Access is partitioned by role in the database itself, not in the interface: an admin, a manager and a worker each see a different slice, and a request that asks for someone else's organization comes back empty. We never share or sell your data.

All data is stored in secure data centers located in the United States. We follow industry best practices for data protection. For enterprise customers, we can discuss dedicated infrastructure options.

Yes. You can request complete account deletion at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. We will permanently delete all your data within 90 days of the request, and provide written confirmation of deletion.

Never. Your chemical inventory and SDS data are completely private. We do not share, sell, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the HazComFast service. Our privacy policy clearly outlines our data handling practices.

Absolutely. HazComFast offers role-based access controls: Admins manage the whole account, Managers oversee specific locations or projects, and Workers can view SDSs and complete training. You control exactly what each person can see and do.
