TrainingDo workers have to sign a toolbox talk sign-in sheet? What OSHA and California say
No federal OSHA standard requires workers to sign a toolbox talk sheet. OSHA wrote in 1997 that no standard requires the employer to obtain the employee's signature, and in 2000 that employee signatures are not required. 29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2) requires instruction for each employee. California construction requires toolbox or tailgate meetings at least every 10 working days under 8 CCR 1509(e), with nothing on signing.
